The creators, brothers Sito and Antonio Lara, decided to embark on the adventure by erecting what is now one of the temples of techno. Being very young, they made the decision to build with their own hands the DC10 Bar. What neither of them imagined is that their most personal project would end up transforming into a club and a leading brand in the international music scene. In fact, Sito confesses that his motivation was to create a place to extend meetings with friends, delight in good live music, and above all, enjoy.

More than 30 years have passed since DC10 took off, marking a before and after in Ibiza. A meeting point among the social elite of the moment that gave visibility to local bands and cultural initiatives. If three decades ago, everyone knew each other at DC10, today the feeling of familiarity and closeness remains the same. Among thousands of people, there is a bond that is hard to find and very valuable: the passion for music and that magical vibration experienced while dancing.

There's no DC without airplanes, and the fascinating sensation caused by their proximity when they are about to land is indescribable. It's as if you could scratch the belly of the tin bird while suspended in the air. How could airplanes not be part of the club's identity?

Although it was almost called U2 “because it was a band that was very popular at that time and Antonio loved them” , it was ultimately discarded due to the obvious difficulties in registering the trademark. Many others were considered, all related to aviation. First was ‘Hangar,’ because of its proximity to the airport road; then ‘Plus Ultra,’ the name of a seaplane that flew between Spain and Argentina, marking a milestone in the history of global aviation; and finally, the DC10, one of the largest airplanes at the time: 250 passengers, transcontinental range, three engines instead of four. In short: the revolution of commercial flights, which occasionally landed in Ibiza. And from one revolution to another, the club was named and forever linked to the airplane.

35 years of history offer a lot: many anecdotes, alliances, efforts, successes, and also some disagreements. The most important thing is that the essence of DC10 remains intact. As Sito Lara describes it, 'DC10 is a dream come true.' A place that doesn't understand classes or labels, but emanates freedom, daring, magic, and vibration. A close and familiar space that offers a unique experience attracting thousands of visitors. A club where sound and music are the true protagonists of its parties. Where will this adventure end? Nobody knows. But really, does it matter?
